Food at The Sun

Head Chef Gary Marshall leads a team of talented chefs in our kitchen to produce an outstanding menu. The Sun’s open kitchen is famed for supplying freshly cooked food all year round.  Seasonality is all important at The Sun our food is British in character with modern European influences.  Food is served both throughout the pub and our decking.

Our set seasonal lunch and dinner menu is available throughout the week.

Weekends…we may be biased but we believe there’s simply no better way to rejuvenate after a busy week than by decamping to a pub with a relaxed atmosphere like The Sun for some great food and drink.

Saturday…We serve food from midday with lunch specials running through to the service of our dinner menu from 5pm with families and children welcomed through to 7pm.

Sunday… Is all about the roast served from 12-7pm with a choice of Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken or our ever popular Trio of Roasts as well as a Vegetarian/Vegan option. Our delicious Sunday roasts are served with roasties, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables and lots of gravy. While the Chefs take care of the cooking, all that’s left for you to do is order your favourite drink and indulge in a thoroughly lazy afternoon – booking is always advisable with our largest tables on a Sunday being in The Gin Library for 12 people.  Please note: we are always busy on a Sunday and can’t always guarantee we will have Sunday Roast available beyond 5pm.

Tuesday – Friday: 12pm-3pm & 5pm-9pm
Saturday: 12pm-3pm & 5pm-9pm
Sunday: 12pm-7pm
